Nieuwpoort-Stad's Market Square is the site of the carillon tower next to the City Hall. Join the city carillonneur as he climbs up the tower's steps, and discover more about the use of bells for playing musical compositions, the casting of bells, the structure of the carillon, ... The visit to the bell chamber is followed by a 'walk' to admire the magnificent panoramic view of Nieuwpoort. As you go down the tower, there will be one last stop for a visit to the keyboard room, to see how the carillon is played. You will also have the opportunity to have a go at playing a melody under the watchful eye of the carillonneur.
